SEC Reading

The critical reading course for middle school students provided by FE is to help students not only understand the surface meaning of the text during the reading process, but also conduct in-depth thinking, analysis and evaluation of the text. This way of reading can help students better understand the text and improve their thinking skills and creativity. The process of critical reading includes the following aspects:

Understand the literal meaning of the text: Students need to understand the literal meaning of the text, including the meaning of words, sentences, and paragraphs.

Analyze the text: Students need to analyze aspects of the text such as structure, language, and style in order to better understand the text.

Evaluate the text: Students need to evaluate aspects of the text such as its content, theme, and author's point of view in order to better understand the text.

Ask questions: Students need to ask questions in order to better understand the text and further explore the deeper meaning of the text.

Creative thinking: Students need to use creative thinking in order to better understand the text and come up with new insights and perspectives.
